Youth held with firearms in Narsingdi

Police arrested a youth and recovered firearms from Bilashdi area in Narsingdi Sadar upazila on Tuesday.

The arrestee was Md Sagir Ahmed, 22, son of Md Habibullah of Baluakandi village of Raipura thana of the district.

On a tip-off, a team of police from Sadar Thana raided the area and arrested Sagir. They also recovered a shooter gun, one round of bullet and knife from his possession, said officer-in-charge Mohammad Emdadul Haque.

A case has been filed in this regard.
