Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has started an investigation into allegations of corruption and irregularities in promotion process of officials of Chittagong City Corporation's (CCC) electricity sub-division.

A three-member Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) team, led by Assistant Director of Chattogram-1 Sayed Muhammad Imran, conducted the drive on Tuesday.

Sayed Muhammad Imran, assistant director of Chattogram-1, confirmed the matter.

ACC sources said that statements of Mayor, CEO and Secretary of Chittagong City Corporation have been taken and records related to the complaint have been collected. After reviewing the collected records, ACC team will submit a full report to the commission very soon.
