Garment workers must be paid bonus by May, salaries in early June: Jahangir

Home Affairs Adviser Lt Gen (Retd) Md Jahangir Alam Chowdhury has said that Eid bonus must be paid to garment workers in the running month.

"And salary must be paid between June 1 to 3."

Adviser Jahangir said this after a meeting of the law and order coordination committee ahead of Eid-ul-Azha.

"Garment workers must be given their bonus by the end of May. Salary must be cleared between June 1 and 3,"

He urged factory owners to accept the workers' logical demands.
