Eighty six more dengue patients were hospitalized across the country in the 24 hours till Sunday morning.
As no death was reported during the period, the number of total fatalities remained at 22.
Of the new cases, 43 were reported in Barishal division (excluding BCC area), 11 in Chattogram division (excluding CCC area), seven in Dhaka division (excluding city corporations), nine in Dhaka north city corporation, 13 in Dhaka south city corporation, one in Khulna division (excluding KCC area) and two in Mymensingh division (excluding MCC), said a press release.
Last year, dengue claimed the lives of 575 people.
According to the DGHS, there were 101,214 dengue cases and 100,040 recoveries in 2024.
