Two die after falling from trees in Pabna, Gaibandha

Two men died after falling from trees in separate incidents in two districts - Pabna and Gaibandha.
CHATMOHAR, PABNA: A woodcutter died after falling from a tree in Lautia area under Chatmohar Upazila of the district on Friday.
The deceased was identified as Fazlul Haque, 52, son of late Abu Bakkar, a resident of Panchshail Village in the upazila.
According to local sources, a group of woodcutters went to clean the portion of some trees of Otul Rojario in Lautia area. The woodcutters climbed upon a tree. At one stage, Fazlul fell from the tree accidentally, which left him seriously injured.
Later on, other woodcutters rescued him and took him to Chatmohar Upazila Health Complex, where the on-duty doctor declared him dead upon arrival.
Officer-in-Charge of Chatmohar Police Station Manjurul Alam confirmed the incident.
GAIBANDHA: A farmer died after falling from a tree in Palashbari Upazila of the district on Friday.
The incident occurred in Purba Faridpur Village under Pabanapur Union of the upazila at around 11 am.
The deceased was identified as Sabu Mia, 50, son of late Kader Mia, a resident of the same village.
According to the deceased's family sources, Sabu climbed up a coconut tree in the morning to collect coconut. During that time, he fell from the tree accidentally, which left him dead on the spot.
Pabanapur Union Parishad Member Khairul Alam confirmed the incident.
