Man killed in M’singh road mishap

A man was killed and other injured in a road accident at Nandail upazila in Mymensingh district on Friday.

The accident took place on Mymensingh-kishoreganj highway near Nandail Government Polytechnic institute in the upazila.
The deceased was identified as Ratan Mia, 35, son of Ataur Rahman from Purbadhala upazila in Netrokona district.

According to locals, an unknown vehicle ran over Ratan's motorcycle and left him dead on the spot. The collision also made one injured.

Later, locals rescued and took the injured to Nandail Upazila Health Complex where on duty doctors referred him to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital.

Nandail Highway Police Station officer-in-charge (OC) Khorshed Alam confirmed the death and said that the injured is under treatment at the hospital.

Legal actions will be taken after investigation, the OC added.
