Woman found dead in Jamalpur field

A women’s burnt body was recovered in a jute field at Bakshiganj upazila in Jamalpur district on Friday.

The recovery took place around 08:00 AM at Banderpara village under Bogarchor union in the upazila.
According to locals, one farmer Nur Ali discovered the body following an odour coming from his field in the morning. He then, informed police.

The locals also claimed that the body bore multiple burn injuries it can be a planned murder.

Bakshiganj Police Station officer-in-charge (OC) Khandakar Shaker Ahmed confirmed the recovery and said that investigation is underway to unveil the actual reason behind the death.
