Farmer dies after falling off tree in Gaibandha

A farmer died after falling from a tree at Palashbari upazila in Gaibandha district on Friday.

The incident occurred around 11:00 AM at east Faridpur village under Pabanapur union in the upazila.

The deceased was identified as Sabu Mia, 50, son of late Kader Mia and a resident of the same village. 

According to the victim's relatives, Sabu climbed up a coconut tree in the morning to collect coconut. During that time, he fell from the tree and died on the spot.

Pabanapur Union Parishad (UP) member Khairul Alam confirmed the matter.
