Teen drowns in Bogura pond

A schoolboy drowned in a pond at Hajiganj upazila in Bogura district on Friday.

The deceased was identified as Tamim Ahamed, 13, son of Al Mahmud of Sadarpara are under Dhunat upazila municipality. He was a student of class 5 at Abul Hasan Government Primary School.
It was known that Tamim along with his friends were playing in the pond while he drowned.

After hearing his friend’s cries for help, locals found his body floating in the waterbody and rescued it.

Dhunot Police Station officer-in-charge (OC) Saidul Alam confirmed the incident and said that the body was handed over to family upon their requests.
