Man killed in Kishoregonj lightning strike

A farmer was killed in a lightning strike at Itna upazila of Kishoreganj on Friday.

The deceased was identified as Nirodh Das, 55, son of late Bisnu Doyal Das, a resident of Doilong Noyahati village under Dhonpur union in the same upazila.

Confirming the matter, Itna Police Station Jafar Iqbal officer-in-charge said that Nirodh Das was struck by thunderbolt while he was working in a paddy field at 2:00 pm.
