NZ A dominates Bangladesh A

Visiting New Zealand A hurled the baton on Bangladesh A on Day 3 of the first four-day game, thanks to a brilliant century of Nick Kelly at Sylhet International Cricket Stadium on Friday.

Kelly was not out on 196 ball-117 with 13 fours and three sixes as New Zealand A ended the Day 3 on 216-5, taking their overall lead to 204.

Bangladesh resumed the day at 249-8 and were able to add just 19 runs before being all out for 268. That gave them only a 12-run first innings lead as New Zealand A compiled 256 before being all out.

However, New Zealand A quickly regained the control with captain and opener Joe Carter giving an apt support to Kelly after Rhys Mariu was dismissed cheaply.

Off spinner Nayeem Hasan broke the partnership, dismissing Carter and the Bangladesh spinners ruled the rooster as they made inroads at regular intervals. "BSS
