Man killed in Pabna road crash

An elderly man died after being hit by a CNG-powered auto-rickshaw at Chatmohar upazila in Pabna district on Wednesday.

The incident occurred around 2:00 PM at Madhyashalikha area in the upazila.
The deceased was identified as Azimuddin Molla, a resident of Bri-Guakhora village under Mathurapur union in the upazila.

According to locals, Azimuddin was crossing highway after finishing his Zohr prayers at Madhyashalikha Jame Mosque when he was struck by a CNG auto-rickshaw traveling from Bhangura towards Chatmohar.

Later, locals rescued and took him to Chatmohar Upazila Health Complex.

Due to deteriorating condition, he was transferred to Pabna Medical College Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries around 3:30 PM.

Mathurapur Union Parishad member Md Sujon Hossain confirmed the matter.
