After putting an end to all previous uncertainties, a much-delighted news for the Brazil fans as "Diva Whisperer" Carlo Ancelotti is set to become five-time world champion’s head coach this May.
With this joining, he will be the first foreign coach for the Selecao in last 60 years.
BBC and Sky Italia journalist Fabrizio Romano confirmed that Ancelotti will take charge of Brazil around May 26.
Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) also announced Ancelotti's arrival in Brazil this May, although they did not specify a date in their statement.
CBF had several meetings with Carlo Ancelotti regarding the Brazil coaching position. Initially, both parties had agreed to terms.
However, Real Madrid President Florentino Perez initially opposed his departure, unwilling to let him go before the Club World Cup.
Last time Brazil had a foreign coach was in 1965 when Filippo Nunez from neighbouring Argentina took charge of the Selecao.
Ancelotti is scheduled to begin his journey as Brazil's coach with the World Cup qualifying matches against Ecuador and Paraguay in June.
This appointment marks the first time in Carlo Ancelotti's career that he will take charge of an international team.
He boasts an impressive record at the club level, being the only coach in football history to have won league titles in all of Europe's top five leagues.
Additionally, he holds the unique achievement of winning the Champions League five times as a coach.
