Bangladesh U-19 national football team had their good recovery session on Monday before semifinal clash of the ongoing SAFF U-19 Championship in India.

After playing back-to-back group stage matches, including Sunday’s match against Bhutan, the Bangladesh U-19 national football skipped the day’s ground training activities and designated themselves in a total physical and mental recovery.
However, to maintain light activity, the team conducted a light half-hour gym session at the hotel gym in the afternoon.

The team will return to the field for their next training session on Tuesday to continue their preparation for the semifinal.

Center back Mithu Chowdhury through a message said: “We had a very important group match against Bhutan and we won the match 3-0 and qualified for the semifinal. Our main target is how to go in the final and we are taking preparation as accordingly.”

“We had a good recovery session today and we worked as per the instruction of coach during the time and taking preparation for the semifinal match,” he added.

Bangladesh U-19 football team, the defending champions of the SAFF U-19 Championship, earlier played to a 2-2- with the Maldives in their opening group match and confirmed their spot of semifinal after defeating Bhutan by 3-0 goals in the second match.
