Woman’s body found hanging in Bagura

Police recovered a woman’s hanging body at Nandigram upazila in Bogra district on Monday.

The deceased was identified as Tania Khatun, 28, wife of Tanshen Ali, a Malaysian expatriate and a resident of Banshbaria village under Bhatgram union in the upazila.
According to locals, Tania went to sleep in her room after dinner on Sunday night. On the following morning, family members found her hanging from the ceiling fan with a scarf around her neck.

Subsequently, they informed the police who later recovered the body and sent it to Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College Hospital for an autopsy.

Confirming the matter, Nandigram Police Station officer-in-charge (OC) Mazaharul Islam said that an unnatural death case has been filed with the police station regarding the suicide.

The exact reason behind the case is currently unknown but will be investigated, the OC added.
