Police recovered two bodies from separate locations in Savar upazila on Monday afternoon.
From the bodies, one were recovered from a pond at Military Farm and other from Radio Colony U-turn along Dhaka-Aricha highway.
One deceased was identified as Abdul Khalek, 75, a resident of Nathura area of Naharpur police station in Tangail and the other is currently unknown.
According to the police, locals found Abdul Khalek's body floating in a pond at Military Farm. Later they informed police.
Being informed, police recovered the body and sent it to Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College Hospital (SSMCH) morgue for autopsy.
Meanwhile, the body near Radio Colony area was also recovered based on information from locals and passersby.
Later police dispatched to the scene and sent the body to SSMCH morgue.
Confirming the matter, Savar Model Police Station Sub-Inspector (SI) Shamsul Alam said that investigations are underway to identify the body.
The exact cause of death can be confirmed after the autopsy, the SI added.
