Chief Adviser Prof Muhammad Yunus does not have any property of his own, said his Press Secretary Shafiqul Alam.

"So far, I know, he (Yunus) doesn't have any property of his own. He has no personal car.

Shafiqul Alam made this comment while responding to reporters at a programme at Dhaka Reporters Unity on Monday.
"Dr Yunus wanted to set up a rural university between 2012-14. In 2014, he bought 2-3 hundred bighas of land in Purbachal. Then, every time he took the application to the Bangladesh University Grants Commission, they said, "Don't submit the application. We won't be able to give permission." Now, after auditing for the last 6 months, the university has been approved."

While responding about Grameen University, Grameen Employment Agency, Shafiqul Alam replied, "Do you see any interference or role of the interim government here (in getting approval for these institutions)? And are any of this institutions you are talking about personal to Dr Yunus? Does he has any shares in these institutions? Does he get any benefits from these institutions? Are these actually Yunus' institutions? The name Grameen was given by Prof Yunus. Does he own a share in these institutions? Does he have any personal property? Can someone show me?
