PABNA, May 10: Pabna police arrested four Awami League (AL) leaders in a special drive at Gunaigacha Union in Chamohor Upazila of the district on Saturday.
The arrested are Abddus Samad, 66, Genmaicha Union AL President, Firoz Mamud, 28, AL leaders Md Shariful Islam Mokbul, 25, and Md Rafiqul Islam, 22, of Guakhara Village at Failjana Union.
In-Charge of Chatmohor Police Station (PS) Md Monjurul Alam informed, on May 9 at deep night, they conducted a drive in different villages and arrested the AL leaders.
A case under the Explosives Act has been registered against them with the PS. The accused were sent to the Pabna jail in the afternoon.
