Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) announced indefinite postponement of the remaining eight matches of ongoing Pakistan Super League (PSL) on Friday.
This decision comes just hours after PCB stated the remaining matches would be moved from Pakistan to United Arab Emirates (UAE) due to ongoing conflict between India and Pakistan.
According to a press release issued by the board, they cited advice from Pakistan's Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif as the reason for changing decision.
Earlier, on Thursday, PCB postponed Peshawar Zalmi vs Karachi Kings match following a drone attack near the Rawalpindi Stadium.
Subsequently, they intended to conclude the tournament in a single venue in Karachi. However, foreign cricketers reportedly did not agree with this proposal.
A decision was made then to relocate the remaining matches to the UAE.
However, the situation apparently deteriorated further in the last few hours, leading to the indefinite suspension of the tournament.
Meanwhile, two Bangladeshi cricketers, Nahid Rana and Rishad Hossain, who were in Pakistan to participate in the PSL, are being flown to the UAE by the PCB on Friday night.
