Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus has directed the National Consensus Commission to promptly finalize the work plan for the next phase of discussions with political parties.
He issued the directive during a meeting of the Commission held this afternoon at the State Guest House Jamuna, according to the Chief Adviser's press wing.
The one-and-a-half-hour meeting was attended by Commission Vice-Chairman Professor Ali Riaz and members Dr. Badiul Alam Majumder, Dr. Iftekharuzzaman, Justice Md. Emdadul Haque, Safar Raj Hossain, and Dr. Mohammad Ayub Miah.
Prof. Yunus, who also serves as the head of the Commission, commended political parties for their positive stance on reforms during the first phase of discussions.
The meeting reviewed the overall progress of the Commission's activities.
Also present were Law, Justice, and Parliamentary Affairs Adviser Dr. Asif Nazrul; Planning Adviser Professor Wahiduddin Mahmud; Housing and Public Works Adviser Adilur Rahman Khan; Environment, Forest, and Climate Change Adviser Syeda Rizwana Hasan; Energy and Road Transport Adviser Muhammad Fouzul Kabir Khan; and Information and Broadcasting Ministry Adviser Mahfuj Alam, among others.
