Chinese-made Pakistani jet downs Indian aircraft in major clash

Pakistan's Chinese-made J-10 fighter jets shot down at least two Indian military aircraft, including a French-made Rafale, during aerial clashes on Wednesday, US officials told Reuters.

Pakistan claims five Indian planes were downed in total.

India has not confirmed any losses but said it targeted “terrorist infrastructure” inside Pakistan. The incident is being closely analyzed by global defense experts, especially for its implications on Chinese military tech in real combat.

The conflict, now in its second day, has included drone and missile attacks across the border, with both sides reporting interceptions and strikes. World powers have urged restraint amid fears of wider escalation.
