A woman was killed after being hit by a speeding motorcycle in Chuadanga's Damurhuda upazila on Thursday .
The accident took place in the morning at Karampur of the upazila.
The dead Rozina Khatun, 55, wife of local businessman Shamsul Alam of that area.
According to eyewitnesses and locals, Rozina Khatun had gone out for a walk in the morning. As she reached in front of a brick kiln at Karampur, a speeding motorcycle struck her, killing her on the spot. Police later arrived and recovered the body.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Damurhuda Model Police Station, Humayun Kabir, confirmed and stated that the motorcycle rider, Hridoy Ali, has been detained, and the motorcycle has been seized. Legal proceedings are currently underway.
