To avert excessive traffic centering BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia's return, Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has permitted motorcycles and CNG-run autorickshaws to move on the Dhaka Elevated Expressway.

In the morning, motorcycles and autorickshaws were seen plying the expressway.
Each two- or three-wheeler is being charged a toll of Tk 20 to use the expressway.

Meanwhile, all intercity trains are permitted to stop at Tongi, Airport and Tejgaon stations for two minutes for passengers.

The DMP has requested hajj pilgrims, foreign-bound passengers to leave their homes with sufficient time before going to the airport and SSC examinees in the area.
