The Jatiya Nagorik Party (NCP) has announced the formation of oversight teams for its Northern Region operations, appointing Sarjis Alam as Chief Organiser to supervise activities across nine distinct geographical zones.

According to an official statement released on Sunday, Sarjis Alam will lead the entire Northern Region, while two deputies have been tasked with overseeing eastern and western regions. Saifullah Haidar has been appointed Deputy Chief Organiser for the eastern region-including Dhaka North, Gazipur, Narsingdi, Sylhet, and Mymensingh. Advocate Ali Naser Khan will manage the western zone, covering Rajshahi, Bogura, Rangpur, and Dinajpur regions.

In Dhaka Metropolitan North, Mostaq Ahmed Shishir has been appointed Regional Overseer. He will be supported by organisers Farhad Sohel, M. M. Shoaib, and Abdullah Al Monsur. The team is required to coordinate with 14 central committee members and submit a full committee proposal within 30 days.

The Gazipur Region-comprising Gazipur, Tangail, and North Dhaka District-falls under the leadership of Major (Retd.) Abdullah Al Mahmud, who will work with a four-member organising team. Notably, Advocate Ali Naser Khan will serve a dual role as both Deputy for Western Zones and a key organiser in this region.

For the Narsingdi Region, which includes Narsingdi, Manikganj, and Kishoreganj districts, Advocate Shirin Akhtar Shelly has been appointed Regional Overseer, overseeing nine local representatives.

Dr. Atik Mujahid will lead the Rangpur Region, covering Rangpur, Kurigram, Lalmonirhat, and Gaibandha districts, supported by a team of seven. Meanwhile, Md. Abu Sayed Liyan will head the Dinajpur Region, which includes Dinajpur, Thakurgaon, Panchagarh, and Nilphamari, with a four-member team.

In Rajshahi Region-covering Rajshahi, Chapainawabganj, Natore, and Naogaon-Imran Iman has been appointed Regional Overseer, supported by six representatives. Adjacent Bogura Region (Bogura, Sirajganj, Pabna, and Joypurhat) will be managed by Sakib Mahadi with a six-member team, including noted organiser Dyuti Aranya Chowdhury.

The Mymensingh Region, comprising Mymensingh, Netrokona, Jamalpur, and Sherpur, will be led by Rafiqul Islam Aini with a 13-member organising team. Sylhet Region rounds out the NCP's northern outreach under the leadership of Pritom Dash, with Nahid Uddin Tarek coordinating organisational efforts across Sylhet, Sunamganj, Moulvibazar, and Habiganj.

In total, the new oversight structure deploys 75 local representatives across northern Bangladesh, reflecting a significant organisational expansion for the NCP as it strengthens its grassroots presence.
