Engineer Abdullah Al Jannat Newaz (Antu) has been nominated as the Institution of Engineers, Bangladesh (IEB) representative to the Young Engineers (YE) / Future Leaders (FL) Committee of the World Federation of Engineering Organizations (WFEO), an organization associated with UNESCO.
Following a review of his nomination letter from IEB, WFEO confirmed his inclusion as an official representative of IEB in the committee. According to a press release, IEB granted him the nomination after evaluating his professional work and contributions.
Newaz graduated from Khulna University of Engineering & Technology (KUET) with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He later pursued an MBA in Finance, as well as postgraduate diplomas in Supply Chain Management (PGDSCM) and Human Resource Management (PGDHRM).
He is a life fellow of IEB and a life member of the KUET Alumni Association (KUETAA). Currently, he is employed at Essential Drugs Company Limited (EDCL), a fully state-owned pharmaceutical company under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare of Bangladesh. Additionally, he actively participates in the EDCL Officers' Welfare Association.
Beyond his professional career, Newaz has contributed to national newspapers in Bangladesh for over fifteen years. He is also a member of the National Poetry Council, Bangladesh.
