Man electrocuted in Panchagarh

A farmer was electrocuted while irrigating a Boro paddy field in Tentulia Upazila of Panchagarh on Saturday.

The incident took place in Narayanganj area on the Shalbahan road under Shalbahan Union of the upazila.

The deceased was identified as Abdul Gani, 65, son of Tasu Mia, a resident of the area.

It was known that Gani came in contact with live electricity while he was switching on an electric motor to irrigate his Boro paddy filed in Narayanganj, which left him dead on the spot.

Officer-in-Charge of Tentulia Model Police Station Musa Mia confirmed the incident.
