The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has forecast rain or thunder showers accompanied by lightning and gusty winds across all divisions, including Dhaka, in the 24 hours starting from 9:00am on Sunday.
According to the latest bulletin, scattered showers with lightning and brief gusty winds are expected in Rangpur, Rajshahi, and Sylhet divisions, while isolated occurrences may take place in Dhaka, Mymensingh, Khulna, Barishal, and Chattogram divisions.
Despite the rainfall, the day and night temperatures are predicted to remain nearly unchanged across the country.
In the last 24 hours, the highest temperature of 36.6°C was recorded in Baghabari, Rajshahi, while the lowest temperature, 21.5°C, was noted in Dimla, Nilphamari.
The current weather pattern is being influenced by a trough of low pressure stretching from West Bengal to the North Bay across the southwestern part of Bangladesh.
