BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia is scheduled to return to Bangladesh on Monday morning after nearly four months abroad.

She will travel from London on a regular Biman Bangladesh Airlines flight (BG-202), landing first at Sylhet Osmani International Airport before proceeding to Dhaka. Accompanying her on the journey are her two daughters-in-law, Dr. Zubaida Rahman and Syeda Shamila Rahman.
Khaleda Zia is set to board the Sylhet-bound flight from London on Sunday and is expected to arrive in Sylhet on Monday morning. Following a brief stopover to disembark passengers, the aircraft will continue to Dhaka’s Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport.

Sylhet district BNP unit has made preparations to welcome the party chief and her family.

In a press release issued on Saturday afternoon, Sylhet BNP President Abdul Kaiyum Chowdhury and General Secretary Advocate Emran Ahmed Chowdhury called upon party leaders, activists, supporters, and well-wishers to be present at Sylhet Airport by 9:00 AM to greet her upon arrival.

Speaking to local media, Kaiyum Chowdhury confirmed that BNP members and supporters will be present to welcome Khaleda Zia, and that a few senior leaders may meet her on behalf of the party.

Khaleda Zia had departed for London on January 7 aboard a special air ambulance arranged by the Emir of Qatar for advanced medical treatment. Upon her arrival in London, she was admitted to the London Clinic, where she received care for 17 consecutive days.

On January 25, she was transferred to the residence of her son Tarique Rahman, where she continued receiving treatment.

Biman Bangladesh Airlines’ Sylhet District Manager Shahnewaz Majumder confirmed that the flight from London will depart on Sunday at 6:20 PM (BST) and land in Sylhet at approximately 9:20 AM on Monday. After completing the passenger drop-off, the flight will depart from Sylhet for Dhaka at 10:05 AM.
