When every plate whispers life: Nusrat Islam's odyssey from covid kitchens to global feasts

Many people know her to be Zoltan BD but her real name is Nusrat Islam, and for food vlogging, she is one of the most popular faces in Bangladesh. She always starts her video with a surprising act and then eventually moves into food review. Her food vlogsare shared both in Facebook and other social media platforms, filled with detailed reviews of rare dishes and delicacies from all corners of the country. She also films cooking contents where she tries out viral weird recipes from the internet and shares with her audiences whether it's a pass or fail recipe.

Her Facebookpage Zoltan BD now comprises of 1.4 million followers. When asked about the reason behind her page being called Zoltan BD, she informed that Zoltan is a Hungarian word which means life and they want to incorporate different segments of life in this page. Initially when she started vlogging, she worked mostly with food content but eventually she decided to bring variations in their vlog and moved to brand collaboration as well.

Nusrat is a big-time foodie and loves to visit different restaurants and try out new cuisines. Along with local restaurants she is often seen reviewing foods from international franchises and five-star hotels as well. She never had a plan to become a food vlogger and also didn't have the confidence, but her husband pushed her into it and that's where the inspiration came and the rest is history. Now the appreciation she gets from her fans motivates her more to carry on.

Nusrat is quite different from other food vloggers, she does not only concentrate on food review but also often engages in social experiments to know the raw opinions of the public. She also becomes involved in public interactions where she is often seen asking her fans and guests funny questions and giving them gifts as well. With her unique presentation, promptness and videos filled with entertainment she has been able to win hearts of millions of people from across the globe. Nusrat usually chooses the dishes for review based on her previous experiences, fan recommendations and sometimes to find out whether the food is worth the hype or not.

Besides, food vlogging she also tries to make skits videos and collaboration videos with other vloggers and celebrities. She has also started incorporating different genres in her contents. She has made vlogs with international vloggers and cricketers as well.

For the past 2 years, she has also started filming travel vlogs, bringing out the exotic delicacies of foreign countries to her audiences along with a cost-effective travel guide. For her page, she takes part in adventurous activities and records enthralling travel stories.

Apart frombeing a popular food and travel vlogger, she is a professional news presenter and program anchor at NTV. She started her career from TV and gradually moved to social media content creation once she started finding it fascinating. She would love to explore more and believes she has a long way to go. In the long run she plans to create more exciting and adventurous travel vlogs.
