Born on February 2, 1979, in the peaceful village of Theropara, Shariatpur, Mohammad Hasan Imam’s journey from a small-town boy to one of Bangladesh’s leading IT and business strategists is a story of determination, skill, and vision. Today, with more than 24 years of rich experience spanning multiple industries, Hasan Imam stands tall as an icon of leadership in the fields of IT management, infrastructure development, and business innovation.
Growing up in a modest household under the guidance of his parents, Md. Abdul Khaleque Molla and Manzu Begum, Hasan always demonstrated a passion for technology and learning. After completing his early education at Gulshan Model High School and Govt. Titumir College, he pursued a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from National University. Never one to rest on his achievements, he later earned a Master’s in Computer Science and Engineering from Daffodil International University in 2015.
Hasan Imam’s professional journey began humbly as a Java Programmer at BJIT, where he quickly impressed his seniors with his technical skills and problem-solving abilities. He then transitioned to Maestro (Pvt.) Ltd. as a Senior Software Engineer, where he played a pivotal role in system analysis, software development, and client management.
In 2005, Hasan’s career took a major leap when he joined BRB Group as Manager and Head of IT. Here, he led the development of an integrated suite of enterprise applications, including manufacturing, HR, inventory, and finance modules, showcasing his capabilities in both leadership and innovation. His expertise in Oracle database systems and network infrastructure further strengthened his reputation as a hands-on IT strategist.
Hasan’s longest tenure was at Padma Group of Converters, where he spent eight transformative years, rising through the ranks from Manager to Deputy General Manager and Head of IT & MIS. During this time, he spearheaded multiple large-scale projects, delivering complex IT solutions that enabled the group to scale efficiently across diverse operations.
His leadership journey continued at Bitopi Group, where he served as General Manager and Head of IT and MIS. In this role, he not only managed internal systems but also led strategic IT initiatives that aligned technology with business objectives. Skilled in leading AMI, Data Center, and ERP projects with strong capabilities in planning, execution, and stakeholder management, Hasan consistently demonstrated a rare ability to translate vision into impactful results.
Today, Hasan Imam serves as the Executive Vice President and Head of Business at Oculin Tech BD Ltd., a leading technology firm based in Dhaka. His responsibilities now encompass business development, strategic partnerships, and post-sales operations. At Oculin Tech, Hasan has been instrumental in designing and developing Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) solutions and managing data centers, marking a significant contribution to Bangladesh’s smart infrastructure landscape.
Beyond his technical and leadership skills, Hasan is known for his exceptional ability to bridge business goals with technological solutions, ensuring tangible value creation for his organizations. His expertise in project management, business negotiation, and team leadership has made him a role model for young professionals across Bangladesh.
Away from his professional commitments, Hasan is deeply passionate about golf. During his leisure time, he loves to spend hours on the golf course, enjoying the challenge and tranquility the game offers. Golf, for Hasan, is not just a hobby but a way to maintain focus, discipline, and a balanced perspective on life.
Despite his busy schedule, Hasan remains closely connected to his roots in Shariatpur. A proud Bangladeshi and a devoted family man, he lives in Banani, Dhaka, with his wife and children, embodying the values of hard work, humility, and integrity.
