RSU condemns interim govt's decision on Rakhine humanitarian corridor

The Revolutionary Student Unity (RSU) has strongly condemned the interim government's recent policy to establish a humanitarian corridor in Myanmar's Rakhine state, arguing that the move threatens Bangladesh's national security and sovereignty.

On Tuesday, the student organization issued a statement signed by RSU President Dilip Roy and General Secretary Jabir Ahmed Jubel in a press release, following the Foreign Affairs Advisor's media announcement the previous day regarding Bangladesh's decision to facilitate the corridor.
"Such a sensitive issue concerning national security cannot be decided without broader political consensus. This decision poses a grave threat to Bangladesh's sovereignty," the statement read.

RSU leaders accused the government of yielding to "American imperialism" without consulting political stakeholders. They warned that the decision could turn Bangladesh into "a warzone for global imperial powers" and demanded the immediate withdrawal of what they termed a "self-destructive policy."
