Miraz reaches 2000 runs, 200 wickets milestone

Bangladesh allrounder Mehidy Hasan Miraz achieved the feat of 2000 runs and 200 wickets during his 104-run knock against Zimbabwe on Day 3 of the second and final cricket Test at Bir Shrestha Matiur Stadium in Chattogram on Wednesday.

He became the second Bangladesh player to achieve the milestone after Shakib Al Hasan. While Shakib completed this rare double in his 54th Test, Miraz joined the club in 53 rd match.

In first Test against Zimbabwe in Sylhet where he took 10-wicket haul in Bangladesh's three-wicket defeat, he reached 200-wicket club.

In the process he became the sixth fastest to reach the club with Ian Botham (42), Imran Khan (50), Kapil Dev (50), Ravichandran Ashwin (51), and Ravindra Jadeja (53) being the five fastest.
