Narayanganj District and Session Judge Court’s judge Md Abu Shamim Azad handed down the verdict on Wednesday afternoon.

The court also fined each of them Tk 50,000, with an additional two years of rigorous imprisonment in default of payment.

The convicted are Shamim, 30, and his brother Habibullah, 34, both sons of Rustam Ali, a resident of Sendi area in the upazila.

Court Police Inspector Md Kaiyum Khan stated that due to prior enmity, the two brothers stabbed Swapna to death on May 31, 2019.

Following the incident, the victim's sister, Jahanara Begum, lodged a case with Araihazar Police Station in this connection.
