A joint team of Metropolitan Police and the Navy has arrested a man along with arms and ammunition during a raid in Khulna city.
Law enforcers arrested him from Matiakhali area under Labanchora Police Station on Tuesday night.
The arrested man is Shobuj Sana alias Mota Shobuj, 29, is son of late Azizul Sana of 8th Lane under Matiakhali area of Labanchora Police Station.
The information was confirmed in a press release issued by Khulna Metropolitan Police (KMP).
According to the press release, Mota Shobuj was arrested from Matiakhali area of Labanchora. At the time of arrest, the authorities also recovered five rounds of bar-bore cartridges, one cutter, two knives, 24 pieces of Yaba pills and two mobile phones from his possession.
Metropolitan Police stated that legal action has been taken against the arrested.
