Man held with 14 gold bars in Ctg

Police arrested a man along with 14 gold bars from in front of Falmondi Basudha Market under Kotwali Police Station in Chattogram on Tuesday night .

The arrested was identified as Nurul Islam Chowdhury, 63, son of late Zahir Ahmed, a resident of Hathazari Uttar Madarsa area in the city.
Kotwali Police Station officer-in-charge M Abdul Karim confirmed the matter and said that a team of police, acting on a tip off, conducted a drive in the area and arrested him.

Police also recovered 14 gold bars from his possession.

A case has been filed against him in this connection, the OC added.
