The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has forecast rain or thundershowers, accompanied by lightning and temporary gusty winds, in several parts of the country over the next 24 hours starting from 9 am today.
According to the BMD bulletin, rain and thunderstorms are expected at a few places in Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram, and Sylhet divisions, and at one or two places in Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, and Mymensingh divisions.
A trough of low pressure extends from West Bengal to the North Bay, passing through southwestern Bangladesh, which may be influencing the weather pattern.
Both daytime and nighttime temperatures are expected to rise slightly across the country.
On Tuesday, the highest temperature was recorded at 35.1°C in Teknaf, while today’s lowest temperature was 19.8°C in Ishwardi, Pabna District.
In Dhaka, sunset is at 6:27 pm today, and sunrise tomorrow is expected at 5:25 am.
