Child cricketer's body recovered from Karnaphuli

A child cricketer was found floating in the Karnaphuli River in Chittagong on Wednesday.

Getting information, Chittagong divisional Fire Service members recovered the body and handed it over to police, said Chandgaon Police Station SI Abdul Quddus.

The body was identified as Rahat Khan, 12, a seventh grader at the Sanowara Boys High School in Chandgaon. He was a member of the Chittagong Brothers Union Junior Cricket Team.
Rahat had been missing since Tuesday night.

Police are investigating who the boy left school with and where he went afterwards, the SI added.
