The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has predicted rain or thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and temporary gusty winds across various regions of the country over the next 24 hours, starting from 9:00am today.
According to a BMD bulletin issued this morning, scattered rain or thunder showers are likely in Rajshahi, Dhaka, and Khulna divisions, while Rangpur, Mymensingh, Barishal, Chattogram, and Sylhet divisions may experience isolated occurrences.
Dr. Muhammad Abul Kalam Mallik of the BMD noted that both day and night temperatures are expected to remain largely unchanged across the country during this period.
On Monday, the highest temperature of 36.0°C was recorded at Koyra (Khulna) and Patuakhali (Barishal), while the lowest temperature today was 19.4°C at Sayedpur in Rangpur.
In Dhaka, sunset is expected at 6:26pm today, with sunrise at 5:25am tomorrow.
