Jatiya Nagorik Party (NCP) representatives make up to Chinese Communist Party (CCP) officials for discussions on reform, accountability and future cooperation.

On Monday, meeting between NCP and International Department of Communist Party of China (IDCPC) delegations explored Bangladesh's political landscape, reform vision, geopolitical dynamics and partnership opportunities in capital.
NCP leaders highlighted Bangladesh's transition period, emphasising their commitment to transparency, accountability and equal opportunity. They stressed urgent systemic reforms to address past injustices and strengthen democratic institutions. Justice for human rights violations during July uprising and crimes committed under previous government were identified as crucial for rebuilding public trust.

Chinese officials pledged support for Bangladesh during this transitional phase, expressing interest in potential cooperation on digital infrastructure, climate-resilient development and health technology.

Both parties agreed on maintaining dialogue and exploring additional collaborative initiatives.

Nahid Islam, NCP Convenor, led the party's delegation, accompanied by Tasnim Jara, Alauddin Mohammad and Tahsin Riaz, all Joint Member Secretaries. IDCPC representation included Peng Xiubin, Director General for Southeast and South Asian Affairs, alongside Chen Xuanbo, Chen Yongpei and Zhang Guyu.
