A woman, mother of four children, reportedly committed suicide by consuming poison at Ukhiya Rohingya camp in Cox's Bazar district early Monday.

The dead was identified as Nur Kalima, 26, wife of Soloman, of Block D-06 of Madhurchhara Rohingya camp number 4 in the upazila.
Ukhiya Police Station Officer-in-Charge Arif Hossain confirmed the matter.

He said that the woman attempted suicide by consuming poison in her house over a family dispute around 2 am. When the neighbors saw her, they broke down the door and rescued her.

They first took her to the Rohingya camp's public health center. When her condition deteriorated there, they took her to Ukhiya Upazila Health Complex where doctors declared her dead.
