The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has forecast rain or thundershowers with lightning flashes and temporary gusty winds across several parts of the country in the next 24 hours, starting from 9 am today.
According to a BMD bulletin, thundershowers are likely in the Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Mymensingh, Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram, and Sylhet divisions.
The report also mentioned that a mild heatwave is currently sweeping through the districts of Gopalgonj, Pabna, Sirajganj, Jashore, and Patuakhali, but it is expected to subside soon.
The day temperature is predicted to drop by 1-2°C, with a slight decrease in night temperatures across the country.
On Sunday, the highest temperature recorded was 37.4°C in Jashore, Khulna division, while the lowest temperature today was 19.4°C in Rangpur, Sayedpur, and Rajarhat of Rangpur division.
The sun is expected to set at 06:26 pm today and rise at 05:26 am tomorrow in Dhaka.
