Son attacked after six months of father’s murder

GOURIPUR, MYMENSINGH, Apr 27: A man was attacked by miscreants after six months of his father's murder.

The incident took place in Gavi Shimul area on the Gouripur-Shyamganj road under the upazila at around 11:30 pm on Friday.

The injured man is Mamun, a resident of Kaurat Village in the upazila.

It was known that Mamun was returning home from Gouripur Town at night riding on a motorcycle. On the way, a group of five to six unidentified miscreants attacked him in Gavi Shimul area, leaving him injured.

Locals then rescued Mamun and admitted him to hospital.

It is to be noted that Mamun's father Abul Hashim was brutally murdered while he was on-duty at Robi Tower in Chauddagram Upazila on October 18, 2024.
