Youth killed in Barguna lightning strike

A 24-year-old young man was killed after being struck by lightning in Barguna’s Amtali upazila on Sunday.

The incident took place at Algi village in the upazila.
The deceased was identified as Ripon Hawlader, son of Bashir Hawlader, a resident of the same village in the upazila.

According to locals, a streak of lightning struck on him when he was going to bring cattle from field, leaving him dead on the spot.

Confirming the matter, Amtali Police Station officer-in-charge Ariful Islam said that an unnatural death case was filed with the police station in this connection.
