2 killed in Tangail truck-CNG collision

Two people were killed in a collision between a truck and a CNG-powered auto-rickshaw in Tangail's Madhupur upazila.

The accident occurred around 10:30 pm on Saturday (April 26) in front of Kaitkai Rupali filling station on the Tangail-Jamalpur highway.
The dead were the CNG driver Helal Uddin, son of the late Hatem Ali of Charbhatkura village in Dhanbari municipal, and the identity of the other was unknown.

Police and locals said that the CNG was heading towards Dhanbari from Madhupur. On the way, when it reached the area, a truck coming from the opposite direction ran over it. The CNG driver died on the spot. The only passenger of the CNG was seriously injured. He was later rescued and taken to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital in a serious condition where the doctors declared him dead.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Madhupur Police Station Emranul Kabir confirmed the news.
