2 Bangladeshis shot dead by BSF along Jhenidah border

Two Bangladeshis were shot dead allegedly by the Indian Border Security Force (BSF) along Maheshpur border in Jhenidah.

The incident took place early on Sunday (April 27) on the Indian side of the Maheshpur border, across Madhupur village.
The dead were identified as Mohammad Mikail, 22, son of Abul Kalam, and Obaidul, 23, son of Hanif Ali, residents of Gopalpur village in the upazila.

Locals said that gunshots were heard from the Indian side of the border village of Jadabpur on Sunday morning. Later, villagers went near the border and saw two bodies lying on the Indian side.

Maheshpur Upazila Nirbahi Officer Yasmin Monira confirmed the information.
