In addition, Uruguayan Foreign Minister Mario Lubetkin paid a courtesy call to Prof Yunus at the same venue.
Professor Yunus joined world dignitaries at the funeral mass of Pope Francis, held at St. Peter’s Square in Vatican City. Before and after the ceremony, he exchanged greetings with a wide range of global figures, including UN Secretary-General António Guterres, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, EU President Ursula von der Leyen, former U.S. President Joe Biden, and numerous heads of state, royals, and international organization leaders.
