At least ten people were injured in a factional clash between two groups BNP over establishing supremacy in Cumilla's Laksam upazila on Saturday.
The clash incident took place at the field of Azgora Hazi Altab Ali High School in the upazila.
The identities of the injured could not be known yet, the police officials said.
According to locals, an altercation was taken place between the supporters of Azgora union BNP president Abdus Salam and the upazila BNP joint-convener Harun Or Rashid over a trivial matter during the party's council.
The two groups, at one point, swooped on each other with lethal weapons, leaving them injured on the spot.
Locals rescued the injured and took them to Laksam Upazila Health Complex for treatment.
