Bangladeshi pacer Nahid Rana is all set to join Peshawar Zalmi in ongoing Pakistan Super League (PSL) after receiving clearance from Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB).
The young fast bowler, who got his No Objection Certificate (NOC) after playing the first Test against Zimbabwe, will fly to Pakistan on Saturday to link up with his PSL franchise.
The 10th edition of PSL began on April 11, but Nahid Rana had to miss initial part of the tournament due to BCB’s delay in granting him the NOC.
Now that he has clearance, the promising speedster is eager to make the most of the opportunity.
Speaking before his departure, Rana expressed confidence about his PSL debut. “I have confidence in myself. I want to give my best for the team. If I can do that, good things will happen,” he said.
Nahid was picked by Peshawar Zalmi in 'Golden' category during PSL draft held on January 13.
His team has already played five matches in the tournament, winning two and losing three and currently sits fourth on points table with 4 points.
Apart from Nahid, two other Bangladeshi cricketers were also signed by PSL teams this season.
Leg-spinner Rishad Hossain is already in Pakistan and has featured in four matches. Meanwhile, Liton Das had to miss the tournament after suffering an injury just before it began.
