A “Shahidi Somabesh” has been held in Dhaka's Shahbagh area, demanding justice for the July, Pilkhana, and Shapla killings, as well as a constitutional ban on Awami League for its alleged role in those incidents.

The rally, organized under the banner of Inqilab Moncho, commenced after 3:00 PM on Friday, in front of the National Museum at Shahbagh.

From the stage of the rally, four key demands were raised:

1. A visible judicial process must begin within the next 100 days regarding the July massacre, and the Awami League must be constitutionally banned through executive order, court verdict, or political consensus.

2. The Shapla Chattar incident must receive official state recognition, and with the assistance of the United Nations, an investigative commission must be formed to publish the list of martyrs and initiate the trial process.
3. The full report of the commission formed to investigate the Pilkhana massacre must be published, and its recommendations must be implemented.

4. All political parties must include a clear commitment to prosecuting the Awami League for these alleged mass killings in their election manifestos.

The Inqilab Moncho announced that over the next 100 days, they will conduct mass outreach across all 64 districts of the country to garner support for their demands. If the demands remain unmet, they have declared a “March for Bangladesh” program on the symbolic date of 36 July (August 5), which will culminate in a siege of the Secretariat from Shahbagh.

Inqilab Moncho’s spokesperson Sharif Osman Hadi and other leaders were present at the rally.
