Two SSC candidates lost their lives in a tragic head-on collision between a motorcycle and an easy bike
in Pabna's Aminpur on Thursday.
The accident the accident occurred around 5pm at Laler intersection on the Aminpur regional highway.
The dead have been identified as Asad, 17, son of Karim Kari from Goalnagar village under Dhalarchar union, and Zubair, 18, son of Delwar Hossain from Bongram in Santhia upazila.
According to Nurus Salam Siddiqui, Officer-in-Charge of Aminpur Police Station, the accident occurred when the two students were riding a motorcycle at high speed toward Kazirhat in Bera upazila. As they approached the Laler intersection, an easy bike was entering the highway, resulting in a head-on collision. Both Asad and Zubair died on the spot.
Local police recovered the bodies and later handed those over to their families after no objections were raised by the relatives. Law enforcement officials have visited the scene, and an investigation into the accident is currently underway.
